I’m 54 years young and have had a Mitral valve replacement at ghe age of 39. I have 2 beautiful boys 16 & 12, we’re a very active and health conscious family. I have genetic high cholesterol and have been taking Vytorin prescibed by my cardiologist for 15 years, I also take Warfarin and sotalol a beta blocker. I’ve always been blessed with a fast metabolism due to having a great diet and healthy lifestyle. I don’t drink alcohol and have neved smoked cigarettes or taken any illicit drugs. Yet I have recently put on 2.5 kgs and I hate it, I’m quite sure it’s the beta blocker as it actually states weight gain as a side ecfect. Makes no sense considering heart health decreases with weight gain. My heart rats became irregular and had 3 cardio versions in 2 years, hence why I’m on beta blockers.
