What is your most secret wish? My secret wish has been my Libran desire to be “completed” by a man—someone who would rise up and be my knight and my life partner. That quest, dear reader, is what led me to write Goddesses Never Age: The Secret Prescription for Radiance, Vitality, and Well-Being. You have the courage to tap into the Goddess energy within yourself, you become ageless…and infinitely resistible.

One of the most common complaints I hear from women is that they have too much to do and not enough time to get it all done. If a woman’s excessive demands are temporary, her adrenal glands will provide a burst of cortisol and epinephrine, which give her the energy she needs to cope with her immediate crisis. But if her demands are excessive and ongoing, these same hormones wreak havoc on her body. I’m sure you know that this can lead to adrenal exhaustion. However, did you know that feelings of low self-esteem and lack of personal power can also contribute to adrenal exhaustion?
A couple years ago, I took a workshop with Jill Rogers called the Seven Sacred Steps. Jill started the workshop with a ritual in which she looked deep into each of our eyes and said, “You are whole, complete, and lacking in nothing.” Tears welled up in my eyes as I felt the truth of this statement from both a soul perspective and as a deep sadness because I still hadn’t found the love (spelled MAN) I was looking for in my life.
Fast-forward a couple years. I now feel “whole, complete, and lacking in nothing.” And guess what? This is NOT because Prince Charming finally rode up to my doorstep. Nope. It is because I have internalized some key things about independence and true love.
Having spent the last 30 years assisting women in healing themselves on all levels and at all life stages, I’ve come to see that our bodies are the true altars—the most sacred places in our lives. Without flourishingly healthy bodies, nothing else matters, not even wealth. Yet some of you still take your bodies for granted, instead of deliberately pay loving attention to them.
