So brilliant. I have also followed the instructions from my qigong teacher who says move from your heart. If you stand on one leg and you place your focus/ your breath into your heart…it’s efforrless….you stand easily without a wobble.

Dear Dr. Northrup I want to thank you so much !!! … I will tell you what happened to me, and how I lost my balance, when It wasn’t my fault… I had a right hip replacement where the doctor broke my whole femur… I did not have brittle bones or osteoporosis, he just pounded too hard and broke the femur… Well, to make a long story short, I needed a second operation where I was laid up for 3 months at a rehab facility. I was always sitting or laying, and jumping on one foot to get this femur healed.. Finally after being released, I needed therapy for one whole year.. Yet, I did NOT HAVE BALANCE, and no one could figure out why?? I needed a walker to keep my balance, and without it I would have fallen… Still no one could help me??? I always love watching your videos and reading your books… Then I saw where you talked about BALANCE, I followed your instructions, just like you said…. I CAN NOW BALANCE… Oh Dr. Northrup, thank you for helping me… You have saved me…. It feels sooooo good to be normal again…. You are my angel !!!!!!

I always thought that your hip breaks and then you fall. Was lead to believe it’s about bone density. I’ve taken two fall on my bike, nothing broken. My bone density is bad..

Be sure to knock on wood. At 40 I had biked for my whole life and sufferered many of crashes.. I wasn’t so lucky in April of 2015 when my rear wheel washed out on a trail at a relatively low speed. I fell at an angle and took a direst hit to the hip on granite rocks. At first I thought I was just winded and and would dust myself off and get back up.. That didn’t happen this time, I had to be rescued off the hill by the fire department.

I figured I had a dislocated hip and it would be no big deal. Boy was I wrong, I actually broke my femur in half at the neck of the hip or femur.

Long story short, I ended up in surgery within hours and ended up with 3 very long screws holding everything together. I finally got to go home with a walker 3 days later.

I was able to ditch the walker and cane within about 2 months of the surgery and have made great recovery. I still have pain while trying to sleep on that side but I do very well and I am hoping that I am good forever.

I have been able to gain most mobility by riding bikes and after hiring a personal trainer who could help with flexibility, strength building and diet.

As I wonder why my shoulder has been so stiff and sore the last two weeks, and was preparing togot to my second massage in a week and half……low and behold; there was your email on Frozen Shoulder! I smile to myself and think….how neat is that? Everything you said completely fits with what I have gone through and what the message therapist said. I alread knew before my first massage that I suffer from complex grief. Thank you and the universe for sendi g this info right when I needed it. Now I am working on what I can do besides messages to fix this shoulder.
    Cheers

Bone-Builders (my exercise class of choice) emphasizes balance too. With the onset of fibromyalgia (15 years ago), my balance became abysmal. It is slowly improving now, but your suggestion that I do this balancing thing several times/day might just improve it faster. Thank you. Carol Bossard

What a great wisdom you have shared. I am going 54 years old and thanks so much for your great advice. This is very simple and it will be a very superb exercise for me everyday. I will let you know how I progress. Since my job involves a lot of touring around our provinces, this exercise will really help me to get moving from one place to another without a problem with strength and balance. I love you though we have not seen each other physically but from this video, it was really great tuning on to your programs. Thanks once again from this part of the world for the vision you have done.

Please don’t forget to recommend a holistic physical therapist who specialize in individualized treatment for each component of mind ,body, and spirit and each person’s lifestyle. If the exercises are not done properly there can be a worsening of symptoms and even further damage to the joints.

I am so impressed with your knowledge and belief about aging that I am writing a book based on your book Goddesses Never Age and Dr. Bruce Liptons Book, The Biology Of Belief, I believe I am the perfect person to write it as I moved to France by myself at age 78. In fact my first book is a memoir of that adventure The Blue Satin Nightgown captures vignettes during my two year stay. I wrote it to inspire others of my age to live their dream no matter their age.

I am now 82 and going back to France for a book signing and reconnect with all I met while there.

I would like to connect with you to discuss my book project. Is that possible?

Thank you for all of your inspiration

Fantastic advice! I’m starting today. I’ve noticed my balance getting better the more I move but this simple exercise will become a serial exercise for me throughout my day. I’ll keep you posted as to my progress! I’ll be 70 in December and I plan to greet my birthday with stability, strength and balance. Thank you Dr. Northrup.

Great! But isn’t it crazy that I can do this with no problem, when my eyes are open, but when I close them, I’m shaky! Hhah! Strange, but I’ll work on it. I workout every other day on 2 different types of Bowflexes. I do floor exercises for my core and leg lifts, plus push ups. My left shoulder has been bothering me so I had my back doctor give me a shot in the joint. For some reason, it didn’t seem to help. However, you just sent me an e-mail talking about “old shoulder” or something to that affect and that explained it perfectly! Crazy how things come together at just the right time! ^_^ Thanks, again, for all you do, for me and everyone else! <3
