It’s the Season of Light, a time of year that’s considered holy by almost all religious traditions. Although it’s the darkest time of year outside, the light within us may shine brighter during the holiday season than at any other time of the year.
Though I had known about Robert’s work for a number of years, I didn’t truly appreciate his gift to the world until I heard him read a poem by Hafiz entitled, I Know the Way You Can Get on the CD that accompanies Kim Rosen’s wonderful book Saved by a Poem.
I find that I’m particularly tuned in to the struggle many women have about dressing appropriately for their age. Today, I was at a local boutique trying on clothes in a dressing room. I heard a woman say, “I guess I have to accept the fact that I’m old, and dress accordingly.” What does that mean?
