Audio Downloads - Listening Instructions

Our audio files are offered as streams and downloads.

Streaming Audio Files

Our streaming audio files use Adobe Flash. The file is not downloaded to your computer, it is streamed directly from our servers. Please make sure you have the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player.

  1. Clicking the "Listen Now" links should automatically bring up the pop-up player.
  2. If you don’t hear anything, make sure your speakers are not muted.
  3. Since some files are very quiet, be sure your volume is adjusted accordingly.
  4. If you're trying to listen to these files from your workplace, note that your business network may prevent files from being streamed.
  5. If the pop-up player does not appear, make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off.
  6. If you install a new browser after you have installed an audio player, you should run the audio player Setup again. This will add the audio plug-in to the new browser so you can play content that is embedded in our Web pages.

Additional Notes:

  1. Audio technology on the Internet is still relatively new. The amount of information that can travel along the average telephone line is limited. This can cause a queue in the audio signal. Current streaming technology makes best efforts not to lose this information and holds or ‘buffers’ it until the line is clear to receive further information. This is why there is sometimes a stuttering or delaying effect when receiving a stream.
  2. The Audio Player operates within its own pop-up browser window, enabling you to navigate elsewhere on the Internet whilst continuing to listen to the Audio. This means that from time to time the player may become hidden behind another window. If the player is not visible and you wish to restore it, you may have to minimize your other windows to make it visible again.

In some cases, audio still may not play even if above requirements are met. Firewalls and security programs installed on your network may prevent you from listening.

Downloading Audio Files
Our audio downloads allow you to listen again and again by downloading the file directly to your computer. Please see the Download Instructions by browser when accessing the file. For Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox and Mozilla, select ‘Save Target As’. For Safari, the download starts automatically.

Video Streams - Viewing Instructions

Our video files are streamed using Adobe Flash. The video is not downloaded to your computer, it is streamed directly from our servers. Please make sure you have the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player.

  1. Clicking the "Watch Now" links should automatically bring up the pop-up player.
  2. If you don’t hear anything, make sure your speakers are not muted.
  3. Since some files are very quiet, be sure your volume is adjusted accordingly.
  4. If you're trying to watch these files from your workplace, note that your business network may prevent files from being streamed.
  5. If the pop-up player does not appear, make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off.

Additional Notes:

A version of Adobe Flash Player is pre-installed with most popular Internet browsers. Sometimes, problems with a Flash Player that's already installed can prevent you from upgrading to the latest player. You should be able to fix most Flash Player issues by following these steps:

  1. Check the System Requirements above to ensure your configuration is supported.
  2. Make sure you have the latest version of your Internet browser. Installing a new browser can often repair issues with browser installations, and newer browsers may also offer improved security.
  3. Remove Flash Player.
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Download and install the Flash Player from the Flash Player Download Center.

In some cases, video still may not play even if above requirements are met. Firewalls and security programs installed on your network may prevent you from watching.
